The Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is a very effective filtration media which absorbs many chemcials, pesticides, herbicides, THMs, PCBs, Chloramines, and many other chemical compounds. The media works by creating a redox reaction to create an electrolytes enviroment within the water which inhibits bacteria growth. KDF55 is a U.S patented filtration media which is very effective at removing high levels of chlorine, hyrdogen sulphide, heavy metals, and has antibacterial properties.
