Nkuku Adhit Glass Jug – Clear The Adhit glass jug has an interesting chequered design. It is made up of individual squares, handblown into a mould, giving it an appealing organic look. Ideal for drinks in the garden on a warm summers day or as a practical water jug for the every day. From the outset they were humbled by the talented craftspeople and their beautiful work, so inspired in fact that upon their return they decided to move from the city of London to rural Devon. They began working with artisans from around the world, supporting and celebrating their skills by bringing their products to a wider audience. The name Nkuku comes from a village in Zambia, the place where the Cooke’s wrote their business plan on the cover of a paperback book. That was the inspiration for their first product, the stylish leather journals they still sell today. Although Nkuku has evolved since it was founded in 2003, they still have the same hands-on approach, meeting and working with their artisan makers personally, this enables them to guarantee that every product has a story to tell. You really can see the diversity in their products, whether it’s a handwoven throw or an industrial dinning table, their products ooze culture. Nkuku’s approach to design fit’s seamlessly with our own ethos, they use materials that will stand the test of time, shapes, textures and patterns that will stay relevant across seasons. Ultimately, Nkuku wish to offer items you will cherish for years to come, eliminating the ‘fast-fashion’ approach to homewares.
